The Plant Electrical Engineer provides technical support for electrical infrastructure, machinery and ancillary equipment. The primary responsibility is to ensure continual operation & safety of the manufacturing processes; however, the plant electrical engineer will frequently assist in Production Engineering projects to promote productivity, quality and cost reduction improvements. The Plant Electrical Engineer ensures compliance with regulatory, statutory, and company requirements. The Plant Electrical Engineer will interface with internal customers and external contractors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - include the following.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor degree (BS) in an electrical engineering discipline with 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and contractors. Fluent in English. Japanese as a second language is helpful.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply advanced mathematical and statistical concepts and formulas in all units of measure is required.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited information exists. Ability to interpret a technical specification furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
