Position Title: Operations Manager
Report To: SVP of Operations
Department: Operations

Position Status: This is an exempt position that requires supervision of field staff, including supervisors and all front-line employees.

Position Objective: Plan, organize, and direct the activity of subordinates to ensure services exceed each client's expectations. Also, maintain a relationship with clients that allow for candid criticism of our services.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in operations, preferably in the janitorial services industry.
• Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting of approximately 30 pounds may occasionally be needed.
• Extensive walking of assigned locations will be required when touring with clients or staff.
• Good vision is required to identify defects of items serviced.
• Stooping and bending will occasionally be needed while training or inspecting.
• Driving between assigned accounts will be a constant.
• Excellent speech and hearing ability are needed to communicate with staff.

Principle Responsibilities: Contract Management

• Contractual obligations: Ensure all facilities receive services as outlined in the cleaning specifications.
• Client relations: Maintain open communication with clients, visit clients with managers, monitor weekly Report of Calls, track client events.
• Quality of service and monitoring: Enforce 3 Pass System, tour buildings, coach supervision and staff, review deficiencies with Area Manager.

Financial Management

• Payroll: Review Area Managers' pay increases, control payroll budgets.
• Account Budgets: Create budgets for RFPs and new accounts, monitor changes.

Staff Management

• Recruiting: Interview applicants, hire staff, ensure compliance with company policies.
• Development: Conduct training sessions, evaluate performance, assist with problem resolution.
• Company policy: Support the content of the company handbook and union agreement.
