Overview

The Developer will work with the IT Lead and Sr. Developer to create and modify technological processes based on business analysis. The role will assist the Technical Shared Services team in improving current processes, implementing new products, and automating solutions to achieve maximum efficiency.

The Developer will be responsible for engaging with business operations owners to determine and operationalize technical requests including developing technical specification and technical project plans and providing regular feedback on progress. The Developer will communicate systems expertise to develop and maintain the technical solutions that meet the business needs.

Qualifications
  • Associates degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred. An additional two (2) years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Three (3) years of experience designing and developing software with the ability to design and implement reusable objects required.
  • Experience working with healthcare data, ANSI X12 and HIPAA standard formats preferred.
  • Experience supporting business applications required.
  • Experience with various programming languages and tools.
  • Experience with SQL programming language/query/reporting/scripting.
  • Experience working with SSRS and SSIS.
  • Experience converting Access Databases to SQL preferred.
  • Proficient with File Transfer Protocols, scripting, encryption and SSH.
  • Working knowledge of Linux, Windows Server, and network configurations.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team or to be self-directed as required.
  • Solid understanding of System Development Life Cycle methodology.
  • Experience in the following a plus: AWS, SharePoint, Salesforce, Tidal
  • Understanding of project management as well as Agile Methodology.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to gather, comprehend and document technical requirements.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and assume accountability.

Essential Accountabilities

Application Development

  • Demonstrate good analytical abilities, technical, and development skills.
  • Ensure coding standards meet efficiency performance standards.
  • Manage testing of all system functions and data accuracy (coordinate with appropriate business SME's).
  • Prepare and provide technical specifications, training and other system documentation as required.

Department Support

  • Provide on-site monitoring for application of Information Technology concepts. Perform quality assurance checks to ensure proficiency.
  • Maintain departmental goals.

Customer Support

  • Translate customer needs into technical requirements.
  • Manage revisions to technical requirements.
  • Ensure customer requests for information are addressed and follow-up occurs in a timely manner.
  • Ensure testing and data accuracy/integrity.
  • Gain customer satisfaction, ensure customer understanding.

Business and Data Knowledge

  • Take necessary steps to understand business objectives of departments in order to develop appropriate solutions.
  • Evaluate and recommend application systems, interfaces, reports, etc. that can improve department's environment.

Change Management

  • Understand Release Management and Application Lifecycle Management.
  • Follow Change Management methodology.
  • Ensure correct documentation updates as necessary.
  • Ensure backout procedures.
  • Minimize negative business impact.
  • Ensure system/data integrity.

Reporting

  • Create reports and analyze existing reports to provide quality feedback and identify trends as needed to develop ongoing business strategy and opportunities.

Logical Access

  • Ensure minimum necessary access to application and data.
  • Ensure proper authentication/authorization where applicable.
  • Ensure data encryption where applicable.

Hiring Compensation Range: $60,000 - $80,000/annual

Compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, education, location and experience.

In addition to base compensation, associates may be eligible for a scorecard incentive, full range of benefits and generous paid time off. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
