The Information Security Content Developer is responsible for creating and maintaining a wide range of information security-related content - such as policies, guidelines, and training materials - aimed at enhancing Independent Financial's security posture and culture. This role involves researching current security trends and threats, developing clear and effective security protocols, and educating employees on security best practices through various formats, including articles, videos, or presentations. Additionally, they collaborate with other lines of business and security teams to ensure that all content is up-to-date and in line with the latest industry standards and regulatory requirements.Responsibilities:
Lead security content strategy and development for high-quality deliverables, including briefings, reports, factsheets, instructor and self-led training, and online / social media content.
Assess, update, and develop information security policies, processes, and procedures in alignment with internal technical resources and requirements.
Measure and evaluate the impact of security content delivery; make recommendations to enhance the effectiveness of information security awareness campaigns.
Consolidate and refine existing security content to optimize guiding documentation and streamline workflows for the information security organization.
Analyze internal information security policies, process, or data to produce and disseminate actionable recommendations increasing the organizations' security culture.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
Research current and emerging topics in information security, including cyber threats, vulnerabilities, breaches and incidents, technologies, industry standards and best practices, and other trends.
Collaborate internally and with other business units to establish, develop, and complete deliverables; communicate effectively and consistently throughout all phases of the project.
Manage existing systems to ensure security training, education, and awareness content remains timely and relevant.
Qualifications:
Education and Minimum Experience
Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, marketing, or a related field is required. Relevant work experience may substitute the degree requirement.
4 years of experience developing information security content or managing content deployment at scale.
3 years of experience working in information or cybersecurity.
Licenses and Certifications
Industry-relevant certifications are a plus, but not required.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
Knowledge of basic information security concepts, cyber hygiene, and cyber threats.
Familiarity with common cybersecurity frameworks and financial institution regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated experience using Microsoft 365, especially SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint.
Experience planning and executing security awareness campaigns.
Experience deploying enterprise-wide learning management systems.
Experience working with other business units to schedule, coordinate, and develop deliverables.
Possesses strong attention to detail, writing and communication skills, and time management.
