Independent Case Management (ICM) is Hiring a Registered Nurse Consultant - PRN Near Little Rock, AR

Registered Nurse will be responsible for the following on an as needed basis:

  • Statewide nursing consultations and trainings for customers in the Community Supports Department.
  • Determine the designated care aide, under the direction of a competent adult or caretaker, can safely perform the required activities in the minor child's or adult's home.
  • Perform health maintenance activities that are not exempted by the Consumer Directed Care Act of 2005, to include:
    • Physical, psychological, and social assessment which requires nursing judgment, intervention, referral, or follow-up;
    • Formulation of the plan of nursing care and evaluation of the client's response to the care rendered; Tasks that require nursing judgment or intervention;
    • Teaching and health counseling;
    • Administration of any injectable medications (intradermal, subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, intraosseous, or any other form of injection) or intravenous therapy.
    • Receiving or transmitting verbal or telephone orders.

Experience

Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
  • Must possess a current, valid RN license
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a healthcare related field
  • Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
  • Must have general working knowledge of computers and department specific software
Preferred
  • General knowledge of case management practices

Licenses & Certifications

Required
  • Valid AR Driver's License
  • Registered Nurse
