Independence Health System, Inc. is Hiring a NETWORK ENGINEER Near Greensburg, PA

**HYBRID WORK SCHEDULE: MONDAY-FRIDAY 8A - 4:30P**
The System Engineer is responsible for architecting, securing, and maintaining the technology infrastructure of the organization for the assigned area of responsibility. Collaborates with I.T. and other Butler Health System staff on joint projects ensuring timely delivery of high quality systems. Operates as 2nd tier support for the frontline IT operations team. Creates and maintains appropriate documentation for area of responsibility. Strengthens organizational security posture by employing InfoSec best practices.
Education
Minimum: Bachelor Degree in a related field

Registration/Certification/Licensure:
Preferred: Relevant technology certifications
Experience:
Minimum:
Two years of support experience in an enterprise environment. Experience deploying/managing/securing/troubleshooting layer 3 switches, application layer firewalls, and lightweight (controller based) Wi-Fi access points.
Preferred:
Experience configuring and troubleshooting Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Etherchannel, Rapid PVST, OSPF, BGP, Network Address Translation, and VoIP. Experience with Cisco Systems, Aruba Networks, and Palo Alto Networks. Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express (CUCME), and Aruba Clearpass Network Access Control (NAC).
1. Operate as 2nd tier support for Information Technology operations team by identifying problems and investigating nature of the problems in a timely manner. Takes appropriate action to resolve problems. Consult vendor, colleague, or manager as appropriate.
2. Install, maintain, and manage BHS systems and equipment in accordance with departmental procedure and BHS policy.
3. Monitor performance of BHS systems and take action to ensure system security, stability, and reliability.
4. Develops processes and documentation for the Information Technology knowledgebase.
5. Participate, guide, and/or lead Information Technology projects as directed.
