Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Therapist would be treating a variety of pelvic floor conditions such as pelvic floor dysfunction, prolapse, post-surgical, male and female bowel/bladder dysfunction, urinary urgency/frequency, painful bladder syndrome, pregnancy and post-partum issues.
  • Electrotherapy: short-wave diathermy, ultrasound, muscle-nerve electrical stimulation, iontophoresis, TENS, HVGS, and biofeedback.
  • Hydrotherapy: whirlpools; using aseptic techniques in specific cases, dressings.Traction: cervical and pelvic.
  • Therapeutic exercise: neurodevelopmental re-education, neuromuscular re-education, passive, active assistive, resistive, and strengthening exercises, joint mobilization, and massage.
  • Functional activities: ambulation training, transfer training, body mechanics, patient education, and ADL activities.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Physical Therapist licensure in good standing, or the ability to obtain state licensure.
  • We will pay for your first Course towards your Pelvic Health Specialist Certification
  • Experienced Physical Therapists and New Grads are welcome to apply.
  • Must successfully complete all pre-employment standards.
