Certified Athletic Trainer

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $49-60k/yr. commensurate with experience.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 1:30pm - end of practice/games based on schedule. Saturdays based upon game/practice schedule.

Overview & Responsibilities:

Show up each day with a smile on your face, a great attitude, a willingness to work and be a positive light in the lives of high school students. Be open daily to new ways of doing things as a member of a sports medicine team. Be constantly thinking about how to push the limits of healing, rehab and return to safe play for our athletes to facilitate them to become the best they can be at their sport. Be constantly learning new things to advance as a professional. We are looking for great decision making based upon data, evidence, science, and best practices combined with personal experience in the field. We need someone who is constantly in tune with our emergency action plans and prepared for emergency situations. You must be able to handle a room full of high school kids who must be evaluated and know how to come up with a treatment plan individualized for their problem. You will be doing daily onsite treatments and rehabilitation. You must maintain an even keeled temperament throughout your work day and practice patience. 

In addition, you will be involved in the management of home events for all sports as well as practices in multiple facilities. Travel for Friday night football games is required, and occasional travel as assigned for teams in the postseason.

  • Under 2 Years Tenure: The maximum annual amount is $1,300 ($108.33 per month)
  • 2 Years Tenure: The max annual amount is $1,500 ($125 per month)

Qualifications

• Required Education: Bachelor’s degree from a CAATE accredited Athletic Training Program
• Preferred Education: Master’s degree from a CAATE accredited Athletic Training Program
• Experience: Six months as an athletic trainer preferred but will accept new graduates
• Certifications Required: Must be certified by the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer. Must have Indiana Athletic Trainers Licensure or obtain upon hire. BLS certification from the American Heart Association
