INCOMMUNITY is Hiring a PROGRAM MANAGER-CSS Near Rome, GA

SUMMARY

The primary function of the Program Manager is to manage the daily operations of the homes and provide clinical oversight to staff working in the Crisis Support Homes. The Program Manager is responsible for providing clinical supports, services, care and treatment to adults in accordance with the policies of InCommunity.

The Program Manager’s role is shared between the two crisis home locations and intensive home referrals. Each crisis home has four beds for short term stablization for adults with behavioral challenges, in addition to family homes, remotely or other community locations.. Adults being served will have a diagnosis of I/DD and co-occuring psychiatric symptoms. The Program Manager will be expected to work closely with an interdisciplinary team ( Behavioral Specialists, psychiatrists, RN, etc), related service providers, families and other agencies as appropriate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure that there is adequate staffing coverage on each shift in both CSS Homes

Complete monthly staff schedule of crisis homes

Approves bi-weekly timesheets and time off requests

On call for staffing crisis home as the need arises for such coverage

Review all admission referrals for appropriateness of services

Ensure that each home has the furnishings, equipment and supplies needed to operate

Provide clinical oversight to the crisis support homes and intensive in homes

Based on an assessment of need, visit each site weekly to provide supervision and support to staff

Conduct assessments (remote or face to face as needed), provide clinical intervention, assess for safety and risk factors

Interviewing, hiring and training employees for the crisis homes.

Assist with disciplinary actions

Psychiatry Review- Contacts doctor as needed to report, clarify or discuss issues.

Complete performance appraisal of subordinate staff

Facilitate monthly staff meetings of autism crisis home staff

Ensure that assessments and individuals receiving services are completed as requested or required.

Provide, identify and setup educational/training needs of staff to meet the individual needs

Contact and schedule temporary or agency staffing needs of crisis home

Collaborate with Director of Crisis Support Services to ensure the homes are managed well and run efficiently and in accordance to all applicable Rules and Regulations.

Meet with the RN and Behavioral Specialist on a routine basis to discuss and resolve current issues.

Serve on CQI committee to ensure areas that need improvement are identified and in collaboration with other members of CSS staff; develop and implement measures to promote improvement.

Provide behavioral supports to adults as well as staff working in the Crisis Support Homes

Review progress notes and discuss with the appropriate staff member any discrepancies notes on the record (i.e. lack of documentation, inappropriate restrictions or lack of appropriate consequences; situations in which the current behavior program or treatment approach were not followed appropriately; check each report to ensure that time, date, signatures are correct).

Maintain highly organized, consistent, thorough and systematic recordkeeping practices.

Review and audit records to ensure compliance. Conduct structured periodic service reviews to monitor the effectiveness of the program and its implementation; modify and document plan changes as needed.

Provide consultation regarding crisis intervention and critical incident supports.

Complete reports as required

Collaborate with Director of Clinical & Crisis Support Services to ensure the homes are managed well and run efficiently and in accordance to all applicable Rules and Regulations.

Participate in professional growth activites such as conferences, classes, team meetings and program visitations

Accept all other responsibilities and duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be willing to flex schedule accordingly to provide services, supports, care and treatment to individuals/caregivers as required, such as 24/7 on call availability. Must have physical stamina to sustain occasional intense periods of activity and stress. Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more. Must be willing to travel independently in rural/remote locations

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

A minimum of a Master’s degree in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, Education, Social Work or other related human services major.

A minimum of at least two (2) years experience serving individuals with developmental disabilities.

A minimum of three years recent experience working with individuals who have autism spectrum disorders and their families

Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) preferred

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position directly supervises the Behavioral Specialist and other subordinate direct support staff (DSPs & LPNs). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilites include interviewing, hiring and training employees for the crisis homes.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Current Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) preferred

Valid Georgia Driver’s license and auto insurance

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, ability to write and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, individuals, and the general public.
