Electrical Engineer
Inceed has partnered with a large engineering consulting firm on an Electrical Engineer opportunity. This company is is looking for someone who is eager and motivated to continue to grow in their engineering career.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop electrical designs and specifications for LNG and floating LNG projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct thorough analysis of electrical systems to identify potential improvements, inefficiencies, or safety hazards, and propose appropriate solutions.
- Design, develop, and modify electrical components, equipment, and systems to enhance performance, reliability, and safety.
- Evaluate and select appropriate switch gear and protection systems to ensure optimal operation and protection of electrical infrastructure.
- Provide technical support for project planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations phases, ensuring smooth implementation of electrical systems.
- Contribute to environmental impact assessments and regulatory compliance, particularly with regards to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
- Utilize your expertise in hydrogen petrochemicals to optimize electrical systems for safety and efficiency in hydrogen-related processes.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies, to ensure project success and adherence to relevant standards.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, reports, and drawings related to electrical systems and projects.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and experience to foster professional growth within the team.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution is required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) OR Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is required.
- Proven experience in electrical systems analysis, design, and maintenance, with a strong understanding of switch gear and protection systems.
- Background in the oil and gas industry, specifically in LNG or floating LNG projects, is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with hydrogen petrochemical processes and safety considerations is advantageous.
- Proficiency in industry software and tools for electrical design and analysis.
- Solid understanding of relevant industry standards and regulations, including NEPA.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with LNG or Floating LNG is heavily preferred
