TITLE: Montessori Teacher

SUPERVISOR: Principal

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supports and implements the philosophy of Catholic education and the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament
• Maintains a sound disciplinary program that promotes self-direction and a positive self-image
• Uses technology to promote learning, creativity and collaboration
• Maintains a functional, organized, and positive classroom which maximizes learning
• Shows evidence of planning and preparing for classroom instruction
• Evaluates student learning
• Exhibits knowledge of subject matter
• Utilizes principles of motivation and reinforcement
• Responsible for professional growth and interaction
• Demonstrates professional attitudes and responsibilities
• Pursues spiritual, social, academic, and professional growth
• Passion for excellence

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• Texas teaching certificate
• Preferred: Montessori certified
