Location: Osan Air Force Base, Korea and Langley AFB, VA (1 each location)
Min Education Requirement: Associate’s degree from an accredited School/University or five (5) years System Administration experience
Clearance Required: Active TS/SCIAbout The OpportunityInalab has an immediate opening for an IT Network System Administrator on our contract providing services for the Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS). This requirement is for AF DCGS operations and sustainment support. Operations and sustainment support will be provided to both the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside CONUS (OCONUS) DCGS sites. Support for AF DCGS CONUS and OCONUS sites shall include Information Technology (IT) operations and support and technical support services.
Essential ResponsibilitiesProvide IT system administration support. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Install, integrate, and maintain a wide variety of COTS computer systems, HW, and SW applications.
- Provide DCGS legacy and OA SW system support and perform or assist site operators in the performance of typical system administrator and network management duties.
- Install SW patches and assist with updates, investigate, and report SW anomalies and deficiencies using government approved maintenance tracking systems, and configure SW to accommodate operational requirements.
- Coordinate with site personnel and the OEM contractor(s) in the maintenance and configuration control of operational systems’ SW baselines.
- Assist analysts, and site personnel in HW problem identification and resolution.
- Perform as an advisor or trainer for site operators and maintainers.
- Develop procedures to operate and support the system by site personnel when technical data is unavailable or inadequate.
- Provide system administration support to tasks such as mission data backup and restore, database maintenance, user account creation and maintenance (with government oversight), data archiving, performance of data integrity checks, communication-port configuration, security incident reporting, and field-level Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) instruction compliance (to include SW baseline upgrade support).
- Provide training support to USAF “blue suit” military technicians with hands-on training.
- Three (3) years of VMWare, Windows Support, Identity/Account Management Support experience
- Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- DoD 8570 certification (Security )
- At least one (1) IAT Level II Certs
- Ability to communicate with senior military leaders and civilian government officials
