*Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our counseling office team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive healthcare services, including mental health assessments and medication management, within a counseling setting. As an NP, you will play a crucial role in delivering holistic care to individuals seeking support for their mental health needs.

*Responsibilities:

-Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine clients' mental health status

-Collaborate with licensed counselors and therapists to develop integrated treatment plans

-Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications as appropriate, in accordance with state regulations and best practices

-Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding medication management and mental health wellness strategies

-Monitor clients' response to treatment and adjust medication regimens as needed

-Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes

-Coordinate care with other healthcare providers as necessary to ensure holistic and coordinated treatment approaches

-Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to review client progress and treatment plans

*Requirements:

-Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing with specialization as a Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatric-Mental Health NP preferred)

-Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in [Texas], with prescriptive authority for psychotropic medications

-Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) preferred

-Experience working in mental health or psychiatric settings, with a strong understanding of evidence-based practices and treatment modalities

-Excellent clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to formulate comprehensive treatment plans

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members

-Commitment to providing patient-centered care with empathy, compassion, and cultural sensitivity

-Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and documentation practices
