ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Follow all company and equipment operation safety procedures
Advanced knowledge of electrical system operation and repair.
· Visually inspects and tests machinery, cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears and other parts of machinery and equipment and follow preventative maintenance procedures
Experience in PLC maintenance, troubleshooting and/or programming.
Robot Troubleshooting/Programming Experience (FANUC, Motoman)
CAD use experience a plus
· Utilizing information from supervisors, machine operators, and other maintenance team members, investigates, diagnoses, and repairs machine operation variations and malfunctioning machinery
· Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts
Significant experience in electrical systems.
· Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment
· Lay out, assemble, install related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, repairs
· Replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment
· Installs, programs or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as programmable controllers (PLC) - Program launches
· Vision systems set program / camera's - HMI troubleshooting / programing
· Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment
· Supplier contacts with support, Special project support
· Other duties may be assigned based on business requirements and applicable skills and abilities
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and ability required.
· High school diploma/GED/two year technical degree or certification or Jouneyman card
· Two years experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
· Good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
· Proficient in shop math with ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals and use a calculator.
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
· Ability to logically solve technical problems with minimal supervision
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, climb, or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
