Manufacturing / Production / Estimating

Estimator (Sheet Metal)

Up to $85,000 to start plus full benefits

JobGiraffe's client is a leader in the design and fabrication of precision metal products.

As Sheet Metal Estimator you will:

  • Review and process Request for Quote (RFQs) from customers
  • Receive 3D models, drawings, specifications and samples from customer
  • Utilize customer information to determine project feasibility/viability
  • Determine optimal manufacturing processes for each projects
  • Utilize specialized software to facilitate the estimating process and create the Bill of Materials
  • Prepare estimates and suggested customer pricing
  • Make changes and adjustments to estimates and suggested pricing as appropriate
  • Identify cost-savings opportunities as they arise
  • Coordinate with engineering, production and purchasing teams
  • Troubleshoot issues and complaints as they arise
  • Contribute to strategic planning and continuous improvement efforts
  • Handle special projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned

An ideal candidate profile will include:

  • At least 10 years of Sheet Metal Estimating experience
  • Experience with Quoting Software / Estimating Software
  • 3D CAD experience

Pluses:

  • SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Onshape and/or PDM experience
  • Epicor and/or Paperless Parts experience
