IMS Buhrke-Olson is Hiring a Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift Near Arlington, IL

IMS Buhrke-Olson, an industry leader in precision metal stamping and assembly with manufacturing locations in the US and Mexico, is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician for its Arlington Heights, IL facility. Seeking self-motivated individuals who are able to work on their own and with a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment!

This is a full-time position with benefits including vacation, medical/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, 401k , Competitive wages and more!

Job Functions

1. Employ preventive maintenance methods to ensure all production/support equipment operates efficiently and safely.

2. Upkeep of buildings and grounds including light plumbing and electrical work throughout the plant.

3. Repair motors and belts on conveyor systems.

4. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on punch presses and related equipment throughout the plant.

5. The use of machine tools to repair equipment Bridgeport mills, saws and drill presses.

6. Responsible for OSHA compliance where applicable and assist in hazardous spill clean-up.

7. Manage and maintain all equipment documentation, manuals and maintenance records.

8. Inventory critical replacement components.

9. Complete all work orders in an efficient and timely manner.

10. Provide support for corporate Continuous Improvement Projects.

11. Continually investigate methods, equipment, and supplies which will improve the efficiency and safety of the corporation and its workforce.

12. Assist in training when required.

13. Maintain sound housekeeping practices.

14. Assist in monitoring, managing and maintaining the Electronic Preventive Maintenance Scheduler.

15. Coordinate scheduled preventive maintenance with the Production Manager.

Competencies (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the job successfully.)

Education – Must have high school diploma.

Experience/Training – Must have 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to read and understand electrical prints. Must be able to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems with machines and equipment. Must have basic hand tools.

Language Skills – Must be proficient in written and verbal communication. Must be able to speak English.

Other – Must be able to work independently. Must be hands on and able able/willing to build and/or integrate a machine.

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
