Job Title: Welder
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Salary: $22-30/hour
Job Summary of the Welder: Immediate opening for a Welder to joing the fabrication team on 1st shift.The welder will lay out, fits, and welds fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as frames, stands, reels, shafts, and parts by performing the following duties.
Job Responsibilities of the Welder :
·Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding.
·Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.
·Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
·Sets up equipment and welds parts, using MIG/TIG/Torch welding equipment.
·Assembles parts by bolting and riveting.
·Basic knowledge and use of hand and power tools. (i.e. angle grinders, wrenches, impacts, etc.)
·Uses acetylene/plasma arc equipment to cut metal parts to print specifications.
·Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
·Responsible for reading blueprints, carrying out welding requirements, and ensuring product quality. Required to perform duties following work order process sheets.
·Will be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
·Maintains and sustains 5S within the department.
·Responsible for checking the accuracy of engineering, sales, and manufacturing offices' input to ensure customer's final product is correct and within quality acceptance guidelines. Any changes or corrections must be communicated to appropriate departments so future product output is consistent with customer expectations.
·Understands, supports, implements, and sustains 5S program initiatives and goals.
Education & Experience of the Welder :
2-5 years of experience with MIG and TIG welding in a fabrication environment.
