Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement tooling designs and processes to support manufacturing operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tooling meets production requirements
- Conduct research and analysis to identify optimal tooling solutions
- Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software (e.g., Autodesk Vault, Mastercam, AutoCAD)
- Perform root cause analysis on tooling issues and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with suppliers to source and procure tooling components
- Conduct testing and validation of tooling designs to ensure functionality and reliability
- Provide technical support and guidance to production teams regarding tooling maintenance and troubleshooting
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in tooling technology
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and practices
- Proficiency in Autodesk Vault, Mastercam for creating engineering drawings
- Experience with codes standards and regulations related to tooling design and manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Inventor, or other relevant software/tools
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on tooling issues and implement effective solutions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
-Fluent English is a must, Spanish is a plus.
-CNC operation and programming skills are a significant plus.
