Manager/Director Supply Chain

SUMMARY: The role will have a significant direct and indirect impact on the entire Supply Chain organization, including procurement, inventory, receiving, distribution and logistics. Manages activities of those engaged in the movement of raw or finished materials, storage and inventory control. Engages in sensitive negotiations for critical and high value items. Controls, measures and regulates efficient inventory levels of materials, commodities and purchased items and determines final disposition. Plans, organizes and directs engineering to meet company objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Sets Supply Chain Strategy
• Responsible for developing and improving Supply Chain Metrics
• Develop World Class Distribution/Logistics
• Establish strategic supplier partnerships
• Drive continuous improvement through supply chain
• Support new product development projects
• Lower material costs

Areas of responsibility:

Strategic Sourcing (Purchasing)

• Multi-year supply agreements
• Supplier negotiations
• Sourcing strategy- domestic and international
• Drive material cost reductions
• Establish strategic supplier partnerships

Distribution/Logistics

• Responsible for finished goods and component warehouse
• Warehouse management- productivity and accuracy
• Manage freight costs
• Customer service goals of on-time delivery and order to ship lead time

Planning

• Material planning for chemical, equipment, and dispensing equipment
• Product change management of materials by phasing in/phasing out of those materials
• Driving inventory turns for the various categories i.e., raws, finished goods
• Responsible for annual physical inventory

Inventory Management

• Responsible to maintain 95% or greater inventory accuracy
• Responsible for annual physical inventory

Cycle counting program

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

BS Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or Economics

Minimum of 8 years experience

5 years supervisory/leadership experience

Proven leadership experience partnering with the business to develop and execute operational plans

Preferred Requirements:

Proficient in Microsoft Office

APICS Certified

Deep understanding of supply chain technology/tools

Analytical capability/understanding of end to end supply chain
