Staff Accountant Role:
The Staff Accountant will report to the Chief of Staff and President supporting all accounting functions
Handle monthly bill payments, bank and credit card reconciliations using Quickbooks
Prepare and record daily deposits and expenses
Develop monthly and annual budgets as well as financial reports for the Board and other reports as needed
Monitor online contributions and donor acknowledgements
Support capital campaign with physical and electronic filing systems and timely correspondence and receipts
Assist with preparing for audits
Month-end duties
Assist with issue resolution and questions by staff and vendors
On-going front-office administrative tasks such as file maintenance, correspondence, mailings, greetings guests, problem-solving, etc.
Various projects as needed
Staff Accountant Background Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
5-7 years of fund and cost accounting experience
Quickbooks Desktop experience required
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Knowledge of FileMaker Pro preferred
Strong and accurate typing speed and database entry
Prior non profit experience preferred
