Impact Solutions is Hiring a Sr. Bridge Engineer Near Columbus, OH
Our client is a large, diversified consulting engineering group. We are hiring a talented Sr. Bridge Engineer / Project Manager for our Midwest area to contribute to our growth as an industry leader. This may work partially remote but must be based in OH.
Primary Functions Include:
- Managing bridge design projects and project teams
- Apply diversified engineering principles and practices to our bridge engineering operations in Ohio
- Preparing project documents and developing cost estimates
- Design work, using MicroStation, as well as client-facing interactions with a potential for some business development and project manager responsibilities
- Performing basic and complex engineering calculations, including construction quantities
- Performing load ratings of bridges and other structures
- Performing seismic analysis using 3D finite element modeling software
- Checking calculations and designs produced by other team members
- Collaborating with other engineers to identify the appropriate design criteria to perform minor, major, and complex bridge design and load rating assignments
- Perform QA/QC on drawings from drafters, designers, and/or design engineers on project
- Perform the duties of a Project Engineer, stamp/sign drawings or reports and/or serve as Engineer of Record for the project
Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
- Registered Ohio Professional Engineer (PE).
- 10 years of related Bridge Design experience.
- Experienced with bridge design software and development of detailed bridge plans
- Experience/ familiarity with Microstation or Civil 3D
- Must be able to work with others in a team environment
- Strong verbal and written skills
