Job Description: As a Quality Inspector at [Insert Company Name], your primary responsibility will be to perform inspections throughout the production manufacturing process to ensure conformance to customer requirements, industry standards, and quality management systems such as ISO 9001:2015, AS9100, and ISO 13485. Responsibilities:
- Perform Inspections: Conduct inspections at various stages of the manufacturing process, including 1st piece, in-process, incoming, and final inspections.
- Review Customer Drawings: Thoroughly review customer drawings and specifications to ensure that products meet all specified requirements.
- Compliance with Quality Standards: Utilize variable or attribute measuring instruments and techniques to evaluate materials, processes, and products, ensuring they meet the company's quality standards and customer expectations.
- Internal Audits: Conduct internal audits of processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and compliance with quality management systems.
- Data Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, audits, and findings. Generate comprehensive reports to document inspection results and quality-related data.
- Computer Skills: Utilize computer skills to navigate the company's custom ERP system, create documents in Excel, and develop inspection programs using Micronite software.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement corrective actions when quality issues arise.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education or certification in quality control is a plus.
- Previous experience in quality inspection or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, AS9100, and ISO 13485 quality standards.
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments and techniques.
- Strong computer skills, including experience with ERP systems, Excel, and inspection software.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to quality issues.
