The role of a Quality Engineer involves developing and implementing quality assurance and control systems while adhering to specifications provided by customers. The main focus is to ensure the delivery of the best products to our valued customers. Reporting to the Quality Manager

Duties:

• Reviewing customer-specific requirements and ensuring compliance with specifications like PPAP, 1st article, and data sheets.
• Driving continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, employing methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, and lean methods.
• Managing and organizing the overall activities related to receiving and outgoing quality functions.
• Conducting audits, creating reports, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Establishing and maintaining company quality documentation, including quality manuals and procedures.
• Identifying and addressing process and product concerns through root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Managing non-conforming materials, tracking rejections, and supporting waste and defect reduction initiatives.
• Developing training programs to raise quality awareness and ensure understanding of customer requirements.
• Assisting with tasks such as gage calibrations, conformance/lab testing, and die and fixture approvals.
• Improving APQP/PPAP activities, Statistical Process Control (SPC) programs, PFMEA, and conducting process audits.
• Providing cross-functional support for Operations, Engineering, Planning, and Sales while managing quality aspects system-wide.
• Supporting the Quality function responsibilities of Configuration Management, including Engineering/Quality Change Notices.
• Verifying that production meets specifications and delivers quality products.
• Tracking internal and external scorecards against established targets.
• Leading teams for customer R@R (Root Cause and Remediation) trials and ensuring comprehensive preparation of all required documentation.
• Undertaking additional responsibilities as directed by the Manager.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer.
• Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis, 8Ds, PPAP, SPC, APQP, PFMEA, Control plans, IATF16949, and ISO.
• Strong organizational, presentation, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel for business, up to 20% of the time.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a technical field is preferred.

• At least 4 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role.
• Experience working with electrified operations is highly recommended.
• Greenbelt/Black belt certification is preferred.
