Overview:
This person will be based at a manufacturing plant in the Shreveport area that employs approximately 150-200 people. The selling point of this role is the chance to be an integral part of a massive site-wide migration of a control system. That migration is set to start within the next 6-12 months and will be a project that takes 7-8 years to complete. It will involve the migration of every process control system within the facility. The scale of this migration is not common so it’s an opportunity to be a part of something big, which is sure to add to your skillset. The hiring manager is the controls supervisor and this is the start of him forming a team underneath him that will focus on process control and be the ‘tip of the spear’ for that migration project.

Shreveport is a city of about 200,000 people (3rd largest city in Louisiana) located about 3 hours from Dallas and about 3 ½ hours from Houston. The Barksdale Air Force base is located just outside of Bossier City and the downtown riverfront area features a vibrant music and entertainment scene. Cost-of-living wise, it is slightly below average for the United States with opportunities to own bigger amounts of land going out from the city area.
