Well established power generation company is searching for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for Billings, Montana. Requires a high school degree and a minimum of four (4) years of industrial plant maintenance experience. 

This is not an entry level position. Most skills are learned through prior on-the-job training. High school graduate preferred who has technical training or related work experience. Vocation-technical training preferred but not essential. Will consider candidates trained as Machinist Mates and recently leaving the US Navy. Must pass mechanical skills test.

Requires the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, install and maintain plant mechanical equipment and perform mechanical duties such as pump repair, rebuilding and alignment, vibration monitoring, machinist duties, welding and fabrication. Should be familiar with pumps, boilers, turbines and other plant equipment. Must have the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings including plant P&ID's. Previous power plant mechanical maintenance experience is a plus.

Client provides full benefits including 401k, health, dental, 9 paid holidays and 2 weeks vacation. Prefer local candidates but will consider relocation for the best candidates.

Hourly rate is anticipated to be in the $42/hour - $48/hour range plus overtime pay.
