Summary:
The Material Planner is responsible for planning and managing the flow of materials through Our Client's production process. This includes forecasting demand, managing inventory levels, and coordinating with suppliers. The Material Planner plays a critical role in ensuring that Our Client has the right materials at the right time to meet production goals.
Responsibilities:
- Forecast demand for materials and components.
- Develop and maintain inventory plans.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers.
- Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure on-time delivery to production.
- Track and analyze inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Work with other departments to ensure that production plans are met.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in material planning or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
