Summary:

We are looking for a talented and experienced Material Handling Team Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of material handling principles and practices, as well as experience with a variety of material handling equipment, including forklifts. They will also be able to lead and motivate a team of up to 10 material handlers to achieve productivity and safety goals, and have experience using Excel to track and analyze data.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of up to 10 material handlers
• Ensure that all material handling activities are conducted safely and efficiently
• Train and develop material handlers on new procedures and equipment
• Monitor and track team performance and identify areas for improvement
• Develop and implement new material handling processes and procedures
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure that material handling needs are met
• Use Excel to track and analyze material handling data, such as inventory levels, order fulfillment rates, and productivity metrics

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of experience in material handling, with at least 1 year of supervisory/ team lead experience
• Must have forklift experience and certification
• Strong understanding of material handling principles and practices
• Experience with a variety of material handling equipment
• Excellent leadership and motivational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have experience using Excel to track and analyze data
