Position Overview

• Develop custom machine controls software in C
• Development of overall controls software for complex test, process, and automation systems
• Devise instrumentation requirements and testing methods to ensure that machines will be tested in a way that they will be used by customers
• Design custom board-level embedded systems for high-speed data acquisition, analysis, and communication across multiple protocols such as I2C, SPI, CAN, and TCP
• Provide support to mechanical engineering team members so that the overall design meets the needs of the automation and control systems
• Debug machine software prior to customer acceptance tests
• Commissioning, installation, and training at customer facilities worldwide

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering required
• Ideally more than 15 years’ experience designing and integrating of control systems for custom automated machinery
• C and C programming experience with understanding of object-oriented programming ideally using Visual Studio and MPLAB
• Strong interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to travel as nationally and internationally as needed about 4-5 times per year
