INTERNAL AUDITMANAGER – Hybrid (Schaumburg, IL)

The incumbent will supervise, lead & design audit programs to mitigate organizational & operational risks, create & prepare effective team-based approaches, & present strategic recommendations to the Executive Audit Committee of this publicly-held NW suburban Chicago based Financial Insurance Services firm.

OVERVIEW:

• Collaborate with executive leadership in developing & planning risk based annual plan(s), orchestrating staffing resources, & utilizing professional judgment in determining scope of audit coverage
• Assign staff, oversee execution & communicate elements of risk-based management plans
• Utilize subject matter expertise & creativity in formulating practical recommendations in response to control concerns, & developing opportunities for improvement
• Assess appropriate skill, development & team execution capabilities (performance reviews, training, coaching/mentoring & evaluating future career/promotion opportunities for team members)
• Work closely with corporate, divisional & subsidiary stakeholders in identifying methods & platforms to enhance & improve process efficiency, & quality control initiatives
• Travel up to 15%, with potential for international engagements – but not required
• Extensive engagement & interaction with Senior Executive Leadership throughout the organization

PROFESSIONAL PROFILE:

• Solid leadership, analytical & problem-solving acumen
• Well developed comprehension of Audit Standards, COSO & Risk Assessment practices
• Experience developing/mentoring & managing team members
• Expertise with MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint
• Familiarity with data analytic tools & data visualization platforms
• Professional certification (CPA, CIA or CISA)
• Advanced Degree a plus
