We are looking for a Hospitalist to join our team in Vicksburg, Mississippi. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, be able to code their own encounters, and provide superior patient care. This position offers a 7 on/off schedule and 12 hour shifts (6AM-6PM) onsite.
- Provide high-quality medical care in a hospital setting
- Perform physical examinations and order laboratory tests
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries
- Provide treatment for chronic diseases and disorders
- Monitor patient progress and provide follow-up care
- Evaluate patients and refer them to specialists, as necessary
- Educate and counsel patients and family members
- Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
- MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Current, unrestricted medical license in the state of Mississippi
- Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Must have strong communication and leadership skills
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be able to code their own encounters
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to provide compassionate care to all patients
- Ability to maintain accurate medical records
- Ability to provide patient education and counseling
