Our global manufacturing leader is searching for an Automation/ Controls Engineer to develop and implement advanced process control/ system strategies with significant focus on the equipment reliability programs (preventive and predictive maintenance). Qualifications:
--BS or AS degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 years experience in process control, automation, and electrical engineering in a manufacturing plant.
--Experience with equipment installation, preventative maintenance and equipment troubleshooting. --Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills related to PLCs, DCS, motor controls, instrumentation, and electrical equipment.
--Ability to work now or in the future without sponsorship.
Responsibilities:
--Develop, support, and implement advanced process control strategies to provide operational improvements, reliability, and integrity. --Monitor and analyze repetitive maintenance problems. Determine the RCA for equipment failures, initiate equipment or procedural changes to correct. --Develop and optimize the Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Plans.
--Lead RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and FMECA (Failure Mode & Effect Criticality Analysis). --Resolve the system problems related to the DCS and other automated production equipment. --Responsible for electrical and instrumentation components, review specifications and recommend replacement for obsolete parts, following change control. --Develop plans to improve efficiencies, process times, reduce labor, material costs, reduce maintenance costs and controlling budgets. --Implement changes to SAP Plant Maintenance System.
