TITLE: Director Pharmacy
LOCATION: Columbus, Ohio
Are you considering a career change?
Looking for a smaller community(25K population), that offers a low cost of living(18% lower than US average) and plenty of activities in the area but is within an hour of a large city.
If so, an opportunity to work with an integrated health care system based in east central Ohio is looking for someone to join their team.
The system is a not-for-profit and has over 300 physicians and multiple outpatient care centers throughout the area.
The system is the largest provider in a six county region and a primary referral center.
It offers a higher level of service than what is typically found in a community of its size including open-heart surgery, trauma care, a Level II neonatal intermediate care unit, neurosurgery and
comprehensive cancer services.

What they’re looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school.
Master's degree(M.S./M.B.A.) required.
Must be licensed by the State of Ohio and have at least 5 years of managerial experience in a progressive medical center pharmacy environment.
Compensation potential:
Position will offer between 166K-210K depending on experience. 
The position does have bonus potential of up to 15%. 
Healthcare system comes with full benefit package and they will help with relocation.
What you’ll be doing:
Plans, organizes, directs, controls and evaluates the provision of pharmacy services to the Health System patients, employees, and medical staff.
Ensures compliancy with the Food and Drug Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, and as well to meet the standards of the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program.
Monitors and controls revenue and expense budgets, allocates and manages the human resources of the department, and is responsible for implementation of Medical Center policies, as well as development of departmental policies and procedures.
-Provides for a safe and effective drug distribution system, a cost-effective pharmaceutical purchasing program, and for comprehensive dissemination of drug information to patients and staff.
-Maintains a close working relationship with the medical center administration, department heads, subordinates and medical staff.
-Makes projections concerning capital expenditures, revenues and expense budgets, workload statistics, and staffing patterns for review and approval by administration.
-Prepares financial reports, monitors revenues, expenses, workload and allocation of manpower.
-Facilitates and monitors quality assurance programs for the department.
-Represents the Health System in the formulation of bids and implementation of purchasing contracts for drugs.
-Manages departmental personnel through the processes of recruitment, interviewing, hiring, evaluation, counseling, and disciplinary activities.
-Strategically plans direction and growth for the department.
-Serves as a member for the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee; develops direction and assistance for P & T activities.
