Cloud Operations Engineer (2 openings: Entry-Level & Senior-Level)ResponsibilitiesIMP is looking for a highly motivated and self-driven hands-on Cloud Operations Engineer with experience in Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join IMPs Innovative Technology Practice. You will contribute to the technical development of IMPs service offerings for our high-profile investment and hedge-fund management clients. Your primary responsibilities will be to manage the Azure Cloud Environments that support our custom development projects.You will help us continue to deploy existing applications and support new and innovative tools and solutions to help deliver our consulting projects on time and on budget.ResponsibilitiesManaging the day-to-days Dev and Prod Cloud/SaaS hosting environments from deployment, maintenance, and upgradesMonitoring and auditing environments with automated monitoring and alerting toolsCreating and executing all necessary Disaster Recovery policies, procedures, and drillsEnsuring compliance with all security related policies and proceduresArchitecting, installing, and deploying Cloud/SaaS based virtual servers, databases, and virtual network resourcesImplementing networking and cybersecurity best practicesRelease management and change controlTest planning with automated testing solutions such as Test Cafe or Selenium IDETroubleshooting software systems, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing follow-up on all issues and solutionsConfiguring and managing all imports/exports out of environmentsDesired skills/knowledge:Experience in at least one Cloud/SaaS hosting environment such as Azure (preferred) or Amazon Web Services (AWS)Experience in testing and troubleshooting full-stack web applicationsFamiliarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOpsExperience in benchmarking and network optimizationExperience writing queries or stored procedures in SQL utilizing Microsoft SQL Server or other platform (MySQL, Oracle, etc.)RequirementsUndergraduate Degree from an Accredited College or University in Computer Science or related field or honorably discharged veteran with a minimum of 4 years of experience.Excellent technical design, problem solving, debugging and communication skillsSolid written and oral communication skillsLocation is Boston, MAbut remote candidates will be considered.Up to 20% travel may be required.BenefitsMedical/Dental/Vision Insurance401k with company matchPaid time off (holidays, vacation and sick days)Application InstructionsInterested candidates should apply with a cover letter and resume.Company DescriptionIMP (Implementation Management Professionals) is a Boston-based consultancy in the investment management technology space.
