We are looking for a qualified Toddler Teacher to lead one of our our classrooms, caring for children ages 18-36 months.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have one of the following:
• --Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate
• --Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education
• --Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education
• Prefer at least one year of experience in a child care setting
• Must be eighteen years of age or older
• Must be mentally, physically, and emotionally able to provide adequate care and education for young children
• Must have a warm and friendly personality
• Must be able to relate well to children
• Must be willing to fulfill the responsibilities of the job in accordance with the program philosophy of Immanuel Christian Children’s Center
• Must pass Child Abuse & Neglect and Criminal History Background Checks
• Must be First Aid and CPR trained (ICCC will provide in-house training opportunities to meet this requirement)

Job Duties

A Lead Teacher's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Be knowledgeable about the Creative Curriculum and use it to plan and implement lessons and activities that are developmentally appropriate
• Accommodate for children of varying ages and developmental levels, including those with special needs or limited use of English
• Design and maintain a classroom environment that is engaging and appropriate for the children, rotating materials as needed to maintain interest
• Implement a Christian education program, including daily devotion and prayers
• Observe and document each child’s development and progress in the Teaching Strategies GOLD online program
• Build and maintain a positive relationship with parents and families, ensuring open communication at all times
• Lead parent/teacher conferences twice per year
• Address behavioral concerns promptly and work cooperatively with parents and other teachers to find solutions
• Provide direction and support to caregivers in the classroom
• Be a positive role model for caregivers, maintaining a positive and professional attitude at all times
• Ensure that all licensing regulations are met at all times
