Job Position: Part-Time PK-8 Art Teacher (15 hours weekly)

The Spanish Teacher is committed to building a learning community that fully integrates the Catholic faith and academic excellence.

Job Description IHM School is seeking a collaborative educator to serve as a part-time PK-8 Art Teacher for the 2024-25 school year. We seek a teacher who is committed to teaching elementary and middle school students who are inquisitive and creative while implementing art lessons that are geared to each individual student’s learning needs. The ideal candidate will have strong classroom management skills, a strong arts education background, strong technology skills, and a keen aptitude for integrating a faith-based Art curriculum. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of how to teach basic drawing, painting, sculpting, and photography skills to elementary and middle school students while creating a fun learning atmosphere. In addition, the part-time PK-8 Art Teacher will create and execute lesson plans, communicate with families, attend necessary meetings, and serve various duties as assigned by the Principal.

Qualifications Candidates must possess: • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree • Classroom management skills and experience with teaching elementary and middle school classes • Strong arts education background • Joy for the practice of teaching Art and willingness to be flexible • Demonstrated communication skills with parents, faculty, and students • Ability to utilize technology in a classroom environment and to integrate technology as needed • Commitment to excellence and rigor
