Seeking an individual for the position of Compliance Coordinator. The Compliance Coordinator will maintain compliance data for the Prelicensure BSN Program and focus on the collection and maintenance of student and faculty compliance data. The individual will work closely with the Clinical Coordinator, Prelicensure BSN Program Director, and the DON Chair.
Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collects and maintains prelicensure student and faculty compliance data (local, state, accreditation) and database.
  • Monitors and maintains the compliance database (e.g., CastleBranch) for student and clinical educator compliance.
  • Ensures all documentation, reporting, and clinical activities are in compliance with all standards, competencies, policies, and guidelines set forth by the University, local, state, and national accrediting agencies.
  • Stores and extracts data from repositories such as Google Drive, CastleBranch, and Dropbox.
  • Regularly communicates with students and faculty regarding pertinent program information.
  • Supports the Clinical Coordinator in providing clinical educators with written materials and site descriptions including Division of Nursing policies, information or clinical site orientation, address, contact person, phone numbers, and parking information.
  • Collaborates with the Clinical Coordinator in initiating and maintenance of agency contracts.
  • Collaborates with the Clinical Coordinator to:
  • Support maintenance of up-to-date lists of current and projected prelicensure nursing students
  • Ensure faculty and students are provided with any necessary details regarding the University and assigned clinical agencies, which may include but is not limited to policies, demographics (primary contacts, address, parking information) and site-specific compliance documents
  • Review compliance terms in both new and existing contracts/affiliation agreements for accuracy and currency
  • Aid in the development, implementation, and distribution of clinical schedules and make-ups as necessary
  • Send final clinical schedules to students, faculty, University registrar, and clinical agencies
  • Send the payroll information to the CUS Dean's office, Faculty Support Assistant
  • Track faculty missed clinicals and submits payroll adjustments as necessary
  • Track and report student fees associated with late compliance and missed clinical hours
  • Initiate and assist with University on-boarding procedures of new adjunct clinical faculty
  • Collect, complete, and send clearance attestations, and any other required evidence of completion and/or documentation to clinical agencies
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of clinical orientation meetings for students and faculty
  • Ensure completion of all site compliance and any applicable site orientation as outlined by the clinical agency
  • Secure clinical agency computer logins for students and faculty and distributes to appropriate individuals as outlined by the clinical sites
  • Review and update all regulatory compliance of full-time and adjunct nursing faculty
  • Serve as a resource for faculty and students
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Division Chair.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience working within compliance highly desirable
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including expertise in data management and in computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to understand healthcare clearances, such as immunization records and physical exam forms
  • Ability to adapt to changes in workload and work with strict deadlines
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship skills, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
