The Retail Inventory Supervisor, Retail (Book Store). As a Retail Inventory Supervisor, your primary role involves overseeing the accurate documentation and storage of incoming merchandise while actively contributing to the organization of the store's stockroom and backroom. Proficiency in inventory management and related software is essential for this position. The ideal candidate should also have excellent communication skills, be comfortable working with numbers and data, and possess strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Facilitating a thoughtfully curated merchandise selection and ensuring a seamless retail environment, our goal is to deliver exceptional shopping experiences both in-store and online. Knowledge, Skills and Ability:Monitors and maintains current inventory levels instore and online.Processes purchasing orders as required; tracks orders and investigates problems. Performs physical inventory counts, reconciles actual stock to computer-generated reports, receives, unpacks, and delivers goods, restocks items as necessary, labels shelves, and suggests reorder actions based on set par levels.Processes and documents returns according to established procedures, while also undertaking routine clerical duties such as data entry, answering telephones, and assisting customers.Will assist with motivating, training and leading staff while assisting with customer service.Excellence in customer service in the store, as well as by monitoring customer feedback and responding to and addressing all customer and staff concerns quickly.Promotes an environment that encourages participation, creativity, and learning by sharing best practices and building on the ideas of others.Ensures visual merchandising standards for the store are maintained.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Preferred Skills:5 years in retail sales environment.Bilingual.Bachelor’s degree in related field.Knowledge of retail sales and the sales cycle as well as inventory management.Point of Sales (POS) system, other in-store computerized systems, and telephone.cashiers and handle cash and cash-related payments. Physical Demands and Work Environment:Ability to reach, stretch, bend, stoop, and lift in boxes more than 40lbs. Able to stand during scheduled shifts for up to 8 hours.HS Degree or the equivalent experience.Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable time.Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc.The ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and some holidays is required.
