The Director of Maintenance is responsiblefor managing, supervising, and organizing the day-to-day maintenance of the Academy. Responsible for directing and planning of day-to-day maintenance operations of the business,constructionand renovation projects. Manage preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks. Position Responsibilities Collaborates with internal and external personnel for the purpose of planning, implementing and/or maintaining services and programs. Directs department operations; the maintenance of services and the implementation ofnew programsand/or processes for the purpose of providing services within established timeframesand in compliance with related requirements. Monitors budget allocations, expenditures, fund balances and related financial activities to ensure that allocations are accurate, revenues are recorded, expenses are within budget limits and/or fiscal practices are followed. Performs personnel functions for the purpose of maintaining adequate staffing, enhancing productivity of personnel and achieving objectives within budget. Assistsand inspects new construction, repair work and related projects for the purpose of ensuring that jobs are completed efficiently; specifications are within regulatory requirements; and approving inspection reports and payment requests. Prepares a wide variety of written materials for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information. Responsible for managing the day-to-day maintenance operations of the Academy Manage the maintenance department including assignment of tasks, schedules, budgets, reporting and hiring employees. Manage relationshipwith all property vendors including building maintenance and construction. Supervise preventative maintenance following specific company instructions Ability to create budgets and 5-10 years plan following company guidelines Create and maintaininventory for cost effective operations, standardize on parts and supplies Schedule and manage maintenance projects for building maintenance and sports/fields Knowledge of building management systems (BMS) Maintain a professional courteous manner with all students, guests, residents, contractors, vendors, and staff Assure safety standards comply withall company, local, city, state, and federal guidelines Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance scheduled service as needed Adhering to all company policies, proceduresand business ethiccodes. This position is essential staffand will assistwith managing facility maintenance during emergency or weather-related situations. Essential staff may need to resideon campus forseveral days for extreme emergencies. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skillsand Ability Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenancemanagement role A proven history of delivering strong financial and operational leadership Strong project management skills including the ability to make mid-course corrections Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and maintenancemanagement Knowledge of project management principles and practices Knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects Excellent presentationskills with the ability to interfacewith a variety of audiences Ability to multi taskin a fast-paced organization A superior work ethic Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Skills Master’s degree in Business, Sports Management or related field Experience playing, coachingor managing Physical Demands and Work Environment Ability to lift, move, pushand pull equipment or boxes in excess of40lbs. Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time. Must be able to move around campus which includes gym, turf, fields, etc. Ability to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required
