Job Summary:

Wages: $36.00 hr. / $150 per day worked. Scheduled 5-10's.

Qualifications:

• 3 years’ experience
• Able to pass a Drug Test
• OSHA 10 or 30
• Rigging preferred.

Responsibilities:

• All facets of reinforcing iron work
• Position and secure rebar, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms, using fasteners, rod-bending machines, or hand tools.
• Setting up, flagging, and inspecting a crane
• Inspecting rigging properly
• Counting bars and bundles of rebar, dobies, and wire mesh
• Directing forklift/crane to unload delivery truck.
• Shaking out rebar and distributing/organizing accordingly
• Using pliers to tie rebar intersections with tie wire.
• Splicing mats or rebar sections together with short rebar dowels
• Cutting excess rebar ends and miscellaneous pieces with gas cut saw or cutting torch.
• Installing mechanical rebar splices by bolting or welding ends together
• Installing caps on vertical rebar dowels for safety
• Installing rebar dowels into fresh concrete footings
• Determining number, size, shape, and location of reinforcing rods from blueprints, sketches, or oral instructions
• Bending steel rods with hand tools or rod bending machine
• Reinforcing concrete with wire mesh

Pay: $36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
