Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, for Ortho on Fridays only. you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, taking vital signs, and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Take and record vital signs of patients
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic to input patient information

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
- X-Ray certification required
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with medical documentation and electronic health record systems (Epic)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality
