Responsibilities & Qualifications

Due to a recent promotion, we are seeking a Plant Manager to join our healthcare services team in Los Angeles (Gardena,) CA.

The primary focus of this position is to manage all aspects of plant operations including Associates, productivity, safety compliance, production planning, maintenance, equipment operation and departmental communication. Additional focus to include financial budgeting, forecasting, vendor negotiations, plant improvements, cost reduction and administrative compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage Production Supervisor’s scope of responsibilities
• Manage production environment within budgetary parameters
• Manage product inventory and product orders within budgetary parameters
• Provide production reporting to all company executives 
• Maintain and assure completion of all company associate programs 
• Administer monthly Safety Committee meetings
• Hold weekly team production meetings and daily production supervisor staff meetings
• Manage the Maintenance Department
• Manage and assure plant is operating within OSHA, BBP and Universal Precaution guidelines and standards according to company policy
• Maintain open communication channels with Service Department, Maintenance Department, Administration and Sales
• Conduct daily product audits to assure quality standards are met
• Manage Associates as needed; manage Human Resources as it relates to plant operations and functions
• Other duties as required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Knowledge of financial systems
• Flexible schedule
• Computer literate
• Wage and Hour experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in plant management is preferred
• Industrial laundry or medical linen processing experience strongly preferred
• Health care or universal precautions training preferred
