Job Description

West Tennessee manufacturing company needs an experienced Quality Engineer with automotive product quality experience. Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate.

• Identify, develop, and support continuous improvement of quality processes and projects that increase value through improving performance, product and process quality, safety, and cost.
• Facilitate problem solving team activities from root cause identification to implementation of permanent corrective actions.
• Ensure product and process quality through effective planning, tracking, analyzing, reporting, and problem solving.
• Write quality procedures and administer documentation systems.
• Develop and perform internal process and product audits.
• Maintain statistics about vendor quality, in-process quality, and finished product quality.
• Knowledge of 6-Sigma / Lean Manufacturing methodologies. Proficient in quality management systems (ISO 9001, TS16949, etc.).
• Will develop Process Flows, PFMEAs, and Control Plans. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent degree. CQE, CQA or CRE (ASQ) certification desirable. Will consider non-degreed candidates with great experience.
• 2-5 years’ experience in the Quality Engineering field or equivalent.
• Motivated self-starter with the desire for continuous improvement.
• Ethical, quality-oriented individual capable of managing multiple projects in a team environment.
• Experience with electronic data collection and analysis using SPC / capability software (Minitab, MeasurLink, etc.)
• Familiarity with automotive quality requirements is required.
