IMA Financial Group is Hiring a Wealth Management Intern Near Wichita, KS

With this in mind, we’ve crafted our program to allow you to engage directly in our values driven culture through company, department, and cohort events, all while being challenged with a blend of learning programs, informative networking sessions with IMA associates, and opportunities to engage in department specific work projects that have real world impact for our clients, our business, and our associates. 

As an intern, your time will be split between a core program shared throughout the cohort and work, projects and programming designed specifically for the department you are selected to join. 

Our Wealth Management team is excited to host an intern for the upcoming 2024 summer program! This position will be located in our Wichita, KS office. Day to day responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Introductions to the Wealth Management practice and portfolio management
  • With guidance, assist in the design and presentation of financial plans to address retirement, tax, estate planning, risk management, and more
  • Review current company policies and business process to analyze data and information to identify business opportunities
  • Research various investments utilizing Bloomberg technology
  • Learn how to construct a client portfolio based on their risk tolerance and goals
  • Support and demonstrate IMA’s core values
  • Value and understand the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates

We’re proud of the success many of our former interns have had when they’ve pursued careers as IMA associates’ post-graduation and see our internship program as a key talent pipeline. Because of this, preference is given to students closer to graduation, who demonstrate a curiosity about future employment within our industry. 

You Should Have:

  • Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or related field of study
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite required
  • Students anticipated to graduate in December 2024 or Spring 2025 will be given preference
  • Previous work or internship experience in a professional services or similar environment may be useful, but not required
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to problem-solve, think critically, and provide creative solutions
