St. Elizabeth Nursing Home is looking for full and part-time Certified Nursing Assistant's (CNA's) who have completed their Medication Administration Program or are looking to further their education and willing to complete the in-house program.

St. Elizabeth Nursing Home, an Illuminus Community offers long-term care and short-term rehabilitation in a skilled nursing setting. Originally founded in 1967, St. Elizabeth is located just blocks from downtown Janesville in the beautiful Courthouse Hill Historic District between Upper Courthouse Park and Jefferson Park.

Job Expectations and Responsibilities

• Preparing and administering medications to residents under the direction of RN/LPN.
• Supervising medication resident self-administration or performing medication reminders.
• Accessing Medication Administration Record (MAR) to verify the right person, drug, dose, route, and time against the resident’s record
• Appropriately documenting vital signs, interventions, or other pertinent data related to medication administration
• Maintaining resident confidentiality
• Reporting any issues to the supervising nurse
• Assisting residents with ADLs (Bathing, Dressing, Oral Hygiene, Toileting, Baths., etc.)
• Maintenance of accurate documentation, charting and adherence to company and HIPPA policies.

Requirements

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Aide (CNA)Certification required.
• Successfully completed the State of Wisconsin approved Medication Administration Assistant training program, and is certified by the State of Wisconsin for medication administration.
• Has successfully completed course work in measuring and recording blood pressure and radial pulse (or ability to obtain).
• One year of CNA experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities/Nursing Homes
• Ability to commute/relocate: Janesville, WI 53545: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work
• Work Location: In person/Onsite
