ILluminati Labs is Hiring a Field Installation Technician - Cellular DAS and ERRCS Near Salt Lake, UT

About us: Illuminati Labs is America's premier cellular and Public Safety DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems) integrator. Our mission is to question everything and defy the norms to make cell signal work for people in every commercial building -- keeping them connected, safe, having fun and getting sh*t done.

Description of Work: We are looking for technicians in DENVER, OMAHA, ST. LOUIS, and SALT LAKE CITY to work as part of a cohesive team installing cellular repeater and Public Safety DAS systems in new construction and existing commercial buildings across the United States. Work includes pulling, terminating and testing wire, running and bending conduit, and meticulous clean-up of job site. Responsible for inventory control, keeping tools and gear secure, maintaining OSHA certifications (company will pay for courses) and tracking and reporting per diem expenses.

We are based in Denver but travel nationwide, Monday through Friday, home each weekend. Flights and hotel accommodations are paid for by the company (each installer has a private room); per diem meal expenses are paid for per federal guidelines and can potentially equate to an additional $17,000 per year after taxes.

What We Have to Offer You: The opportunity to build a “career home” with a group who strives to do better and BE better in all ways. You’ll have the option of advancing as quickly as your own initiative and skills allow. You will be able to put forth ideas, to think outside the box, solve problems and innovate, knowing your input will be heard and encouraged. By the way, there are specific instructions later in this job post so be sure to read the entire thing. You’ll get to work with an amazing group of people who approach work with professionalism and a sense of humor. Our teams spend a lot of time together and maintaining a fun but businesslike workplace culture is vital. We want people who share our values: integrity, a love of learning, innovation, effective efficiency (balancing speed and quality), taking pride in our work and having fun!

Requirements:

  • MUST be able to travel extensively: Mon-Fri on the road in various cities across U.S., weekends at home. MUST live near a major international airport within the continental US, preferably served by Southwest Airlines. Must have reliable transportation to and from the airport.
  • Desire to learn and grow professionally; a self-starter with initiative.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and an ability to innovate on the go.
  • Ready and able to perform arduous physical labor including lifting 100 lb. rolls of wire and more. This cannot be overstated: it's hard work.
  • Well-spoken, businesslike communicator; good listener; adaptable.
  • Able to read and interpret a set of blueprints
  • Able to follow detailed instructions, both verbal and written.
  • Must possess your own basic telecom tools including snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, steel toed boots, etc. Required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses and safety vest) and uniform shirts are provided by company.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and background screening (no misdemeanor or felony convictions).
  • Must be willing to be vaccinated to the standards of any of our healthcare clients.
  • Prove to me that you read this entire job description by submitting a joke along with your resume. Seriously, I will not respond without it.
  • Must have a current, valid driver's license with a clean driving record and a minimum of 1 years driving experience.

Pay and Benefits: First 60 days are a benefits waiting period. On the 1st day of the month following the 60-day waiting period, assuming a positive performance review, you would be brought on as an hourly employee with full benefits. Salary is based on experience -- up to $60,000 per year for entry level Field Installation Technician. Again, I cannot emphasize the joke thing enough. Don’t know what I’m talking about? Go back and read this entire post.
