Duties & Responsibilities

• Design and Branding
  • Implement designs for print, web, and other media that effectively communicate with diverse audiences about PRI’s wide range of scientific projects, programs, services, and engagement activities according to established style.
  • Take direction from the senior designer at PRI, who will be leading overall style decisions.
  • Assist with creating a PRI-wide style guide.
  • Collaborate with vendors to obtain quotes, provide print specifications, and deliver project files. Review and approve proofs and attend press checks when necessary.
• Custom Graphics and Illustration
  • Create graphics and vector illustrations as needed for PRI materials, social media, and web.
• Image Asset Management
  • Assist with setting up, curating, and maintaining a database of PRI images.
• Other
  • Stay abreast of print and web design trends and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign branding standards.
  • Perform other duties as needed to further the mission and goals of PRI.
