1. Under general supervision, performs skilled photo and video production work for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.
2. Performs custom image production, processing and editing.
3. Maintains the Department digital and print photo and video archives, including editing and labeling images and files.
4. Performs other duties as required or assigned that are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
1. Requires the knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to the completion of two years of college, including coursework in photography, or equivalent training and technical work experience with photographic editing software.
2. One year of photographic and image processing work experience as a journey-level photographer.
1. Two (2) years of professional experience shooting and editing photos, video, and audio for promotional, educational, documentary, and social media projects.
2. Two (2) years of professional experience producing content with Adobe Creative Suite, including but not limited to Audition, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and Photoshop. Skills with Adobe Illustrator and After Effects are a plus.
3. Two (2) years of professional experiencing using digital cameras, lenses, lighting, and other equipment used in photo and video production.
4. Two (2) years of professional experience with lighting techniques and setting up lighting for photography and video shoots.
5. Two (2) years of working experience meeting deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic, paying attention to detail, in a fast-paced environment.
