The Illinois Department of Agriculture is seeking individuals, for temporary employment not to exceed 6 months, for the Du Quoin State Fair summer season. Temporary employees are needed for the following area: Guest Services. This is an ideal opportunity for anyone looking to work in a constantly changing fast paced environment. Successful candidates will be individuals who can work promptly and efficiently in order to maintain that the Illinois State Fair, as well as non-fair events, run effectively. We are looking to fill positions in the area outlined below:
* Backstage Runner - Assisting at each event behind the scenes; working with fair staff and entertainment to ensure needs are met (Must be at least 21 and possess a valid drivers license)
* Parking and Selling - Sell parking passes to fair patrons and direct them to parking spaces
* Campground Attendant - Assist with camper's needs (Must be at least 18 and a valid driver's license)
* Trams - Drive tractor trams to transport guest around the fair grounds (Must be at least 18 and a valid driver's license)
Applications will be scored and ranked from highest to lowest score. Applicants will be offered employment in score order. Applicants scoring 1 or less will only be contacted if necessary to fill any vacant positions.
