Job opening: ISACorps Community Outreach Worker

Start Date: June 2024

$35,604 salary with benefits including a tuition waiver for IL public universities

ISACorps near-peer mentors work with students and their families throughout the state as they navigate the college going process. A concerted effort is made to reach out to first generation college students and/or those who are low-income. We hire in every region of Illinois so that the individuals being served work with someone from their area who has college experience. Here’s what the work looks like:

· Mentor students facing academic, financial, and social barriers to higher education

· Present to students on the critical steps in the college-going process

· Advise and inform the parents of potentially college-bound students on the college admissions and financial aid processes

· Represent ISAC at college fairs, financial aid nights, conferences, and related events

· Promote programs and services offered by ISAC to communities throughout the state

HOW TO APPLY/SELECTION PROCESS

· Bachelor’s degree required prior to start date
