The Illinois House of Representatives seeks an individual to fill the position of House Janitor. This position will
be located in Springfield, Illinois.

The primary responsibilities of this position include:- Dumping trash and recycle containers in and around all House controlled office areas, and meeting areas and disposing the material into the building trash/recycle dumpster locations. Not limited to one building may have to take to another building location.
- Dusting, cleaning and vacuuming all House-controlled areas.
- Cleaning, stocking, and mopping all bathrooms.
- Moving office furniture around office areas as well as loading and unloading of delivery and surplus trucks.
- Ability to work on wet, slick, and dusty environments, as well as ability to work off a stool or ladder.
- Ability to climb stairs when needed and carry items up stairs;
- Other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:- High school degree or equivalent;
- Ability to lift boxes of 50 to 100 pounds;
- Ability to push or pull a cart holding 200 to 300 pounds;
- Ability to navigate the Capitol Complex and transport materials between offices;
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, as well as walking for long stretches and distances; and
- Ability to lift over head as well as clean above head.

Salary Range:- $38,000 minimum, compensation based on experience and education;
